Skin Boosters in Leeds: Profhilo vs Seventy Hyal vs Jalupro

Your skin has been through it since May. Sun, air conditioning, late nights, a fortnight somewhere hot, and now the Yorkshire mornings have turned. Something in the mirror looks off.

It isn't lines. You could live with lines. It's the flatness. Foundation clings by lunchtime, and you catch yourself in the car mirror lifting the skin at your jaw thinking, there she is.

That's a hydration and collagen problem, and filler won't fix it. Filler is for shape. This is about the quality of the skin itself, which is the gap skin boosters were built to fill. They've quietly become the most requested thing in Rawdon, and September is when the diary fills.

So here's what they are, which one suits which face, and how we choose at Ministry of Faces.

Filler changes your shape. Skin boosters change your skin. Confuse the two and you get a fuller face that still looks tired.

THE TREATMENT

What a skin booster actually does

Profhilo skin booster used at Ministry of Faces skin clinic in Leeds
Profhilo is still the skin booster people walk in asking for by name.

A skin booster is an injectable, but it behaves nothing like dermal filler. Filler sits deep, holds its shape and rebuilds structure. A booster goes into the skin itself and spreads through it. It won't lift a cheek or sharpen a jaw. It rehydrates the tissue and wakes up the cells that make your own collagen and elastin.

The clever part is the second act. Hyaluronic acid pulls water into the dermis straight away, so you look plumped and dewy within days. Then across four weeks the fibroblasts respond and lay down fresh collagen. The real result turns up a month in, not on the drive home.

And no, it isn't a glow drip. I'm firm about this. Skin quality is built in the dermis, not in a bag hanging off a stand.

WHAT IT TREATS

What skin boosters are brilliant for

If your complaint starts with the word tired, or the word crepey, this is usually the answer.

  • Dull, flat skin that stopped catching the light across the cheeks and forehead

  • Fine crepey texture around the under-eye and upper cheek, where filler would be far too heavy

  • Neck and décolletage, which give age away faster than a face ever does

  • Backs of the hands, which most clinics forget about entirely

  • Skin through perimenopause, when oestrogen drops and collagen goes with it

  • Pre-wedding, pre-holiday and party season glow, started early enough to actually work

  • Late twenties and early thirties, keeping what you have rather than chasing what's gone. Pair it with baby anti-wrinkle dosing

COMPARISON

Profhilo, Seventy Hyal and Jalupro: what we use in Leeds

There are dozens of boosters on the market. Most clinics stock one and sell it to everybody, which is lazy. We keep four, because faces differ.

Seventy Hyal 2000 skin booster treatment at our Leeds aesthetics clinic
Seventy Hyal 2000 is our go-to for glow in younger skin.

Profhilo is the one people arrive asking for, and often they're right. It goes in at ten points across the face, five each side, so the product travels through the tissue rather than sitting where the needle went. Ten minutes and you're done. But if you're 29 with good bone structure and you just want your skin to look expensive, Seventy Hyal is the better buy and I'll say so.

Jalupro is the quiet overachiever. The amino acids give fibroblasts something to build with, which is why it earns its place on skin that's had twenty summers of sun and not much factor 50.

If you aren't sure which one you need, that is exactly what the free consultation is for. We assess your skin in person and recommend honestly. We don't sell you a course you don't need.

YOUR TREATMENT PLAN

What happens, and when you'll see it

When

What you'll notice

On the day

Ten to fifteen minutes in the chair. Small raised bumps where the product goes in, which settle within a few hours.

Days 1 to 3

Bumps gone. Skin already feels softer and holds makeup better.

Weeks 1 to 3

Hydration settles in. People start telling you that you look well rested.

Week 4

Second session. Collagen from the first one is already building.

Weeks 6 to 8

The real result. Firmer, smoother, brighter, and still completely your own face.

Month 6

A single top up holds it. Maintenance from here is easy.

Downtime is close to nothing. A few small bumps, occasionally a little pinkness, and you're straight back to your afternoon. Most people book in on a lunch break and nobody at work notices anything except that they look well. Aftercare goes home with you, and our FAQ page covers the rest.

The compliment you want isn't what have you had done. It's you look really well at the moment. That is what good skin work sounds like.

WHAT IT COMBINES WITH

What skin boosters pair with beautifully

Boosters do one job and do it properly. They won't relax a muscle and they won't rebuild a cheekbone. The best faces coming out of our clinic are small amounts of two or three things, not a lot of one.

Lumi Eyes is built specifically for the delicate eye area.

IS IT FOR YOU

Who this suits, and who it doesn't

Skin boosters suit almost anyone whose skin has lost its bounce. Late twenties as prevention, thirties and forties as the workhorse, fifties and beyond as part of a plan. They're superb for men, who want visible improvement with nothing that looks done.

They aren't the answer if your real issue is heaviness at the jaw, a deep fold, or lines that only show when you move. I'd rather say so at consultation than take your money for a course that can't deliver it. Being recognised as Best Aesthetic Practitioner UK doesn't come from selling everybody the same syringe.

We look after patients from Rawdon, Horsforth, Guiseley, Yeadon, Bramhope, Ilkley, Leeds city centre and across Bradford, plus plenty who used to drive to London or Manchester and worked out the work up here is every bit as good, with free parking outside. Have a look at our skin clinic in Leeds.

Good skin isn't a treatment. It's a plan, done consistently, by someone who tells you when to stop.

Start your course in September and your skin peaks for Christmas. Start it in late November and you're still waiting when the invitations land.

QUESTIONS

Skin booster questions we get asked every week

Are skin boosters the same as dermal filler?

No, and the difference matters. Dermal filler is placed deep to create shape, which is why it works so well for cheeks or lips. A skin booster goes into the skin to improve hydration, firmness and texture without changing your shape. Plenty of our patients have both, for different reasons. A free consultation is the quickest way to find out which your face is asking for.

Most courses run to 2 to 3 sessions, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, then a single maintenance session roughly every 6 months. Profhilo is usually 2 sessions, Seventy Hyal and Jalupro can be 3. We'll map the plan out at your consultation so you know exactly what's ahead before you commit. Book online when you're ready.

Far less than people expect. A very fine needle, numbing cream where you want it, and the whole thing takes ten to fifteen minutes. Most people describe it as quick scratches and go back to work afterwards. Our FAQ page covers aftercare, and we'll talk you through it in the chair.

Lumi Eyes was designed for it, and polynucleotides are outstanding on thin, crepey, dark under-eye skin. If there's a genuine hollow underneath, that's a job for tear trough filler instead, sometimes alongside a booster. Come in and we'll tell you which of the three you need.

Yes, and it's one of our most popular combinations. Anti-wrinkle injections soften movement lines while the booster improves the skin those lines sit in. We usually treat both in one appointment to save you a trip. Ask about package pricing when you book.
