Down-turned Smile
Book your ‘Botox Consultation’ FIRST as it’s required before treatment.
Service Description
Important Notice – Please Read Before Booking Due to new legislation effective from June 2025, all clients must attend a face-to-face consultation with our nurse prescriber before receiving any Botox treatments. This is a legal requirement and applies even if you’ve had treatment with us before. To avoid being turned away on the day, please make sure you book a ‘Botox Consultation’ first. This is a quick 10-minute appointment at the clinic where we’ll assess your suitability and issue your prescription. Please note: this consultation is to confirm medical suitability only, not to discuss cosmetic preferences. Once prescribed, you’ll then be able to book in for treatment. Consultation & Flexibility Your appointment includes a full cosmetic consultation to assess your facial movement and smile dynamics. If you decide not to go ahead, your deposit is refundable. Treatments can also be adjusted or swapped on the day depending on what suits you best. What’s Included This treatment involves precise injections of botox to lift the corners of the mouth. It’s perfect for clients who feel their resting expression looks sad, tense or overly serious, especially when the corners of the mouth naturally turn downward. How It Works We target the depressor anguli oris muscle, the one responsible for pulling down the corners of the mouth. By relaxing this muscle slightly, the natural upward pull from other facial muscles becomes more visible, resulting in a softer, more relaxed and youthful expression. Products Used We use a Botox, administered by qualified medical professionals. The dose is tailored to your facial structure and movement patterns. Does It Hurt? This treatment is quick and well tolerated. Most clients feel a light pinch or scratch with the tiny needle, but numbing is not required. Downtime & Healing There may be a little redness or swelling at the injection sites, but this usually settles within a few hours. There’s no major downtime and most clients return to normal activity the same day. Results & Longevity Results begin to show within 5–7 days, with full effect by two weeks. The mouth appears more lifted and relaxed, without changing your natural expressions. Results usually last 2–4 months and can be maintained with regular top-ups. Sessions & Suitability This treatment is ideal for clients who feel their neutral expression looks downturned or tired and want a subtle, natural-looking lift without filler.
